Product Description
Includes: 1 Single Zipper (2 half pieces) that are marked to pin the backing
fabric only. Full Float Quilt sets are to be used only by
those who entirely float the quilt top. Purchase multiple sets
for pinning multiple quilts in advance.
Note: You will use the Full Float Sets to pin your quilts
or rent your machines if you attach only the backing fabric to the
rollers but, do not attach the quilt top to a zipper or a roller
bar, letting the bottom edge of the quilt top hang to the floor.
If you use this method, you will need to make sure that the
quit top and the backing material have the same tension as
you advance and quilt the quilt. You will also need to make
sure that the piecing and the borders of the quilt top come
up evenly as you quilt.

I purchased the whole set a few years ago and have LOVED it. Since then I have purchased another 10 single sets so now everyone I quilt for can attach the backs of their quilts before I get them It's been a wonderful tool that let's me not spend so much time on my feet.

This was my second order. Thanks for your help!! I couldn't understand what my very dear longarm quilting friend was telling me about attaching it to the backing and I was so confused but when you sent me that photograph, it was clear as mud. It's true, a picture is worth a thousand words. She doesn't use the pins and prefers that I machine baste them. I'm just so thankful that she is doing my quilts at no charge so of course I wanted to do it the way she wanted me to. Working on quilts for all my grandchildren and great grandchildren for Christmas and then next year, I'll start on all my siblings. So I placed the second order so that the next four quilts will be ready to send to her when she sends what she has back. I just purchased a HQ Sweet 16 which should be here Friday so I'll be back to order more stuff from you.

just what I needed
I recently purchased a new frame and needed zippers. I had purchased zippers for the previous machine and couldn't wait to get these new ones.

The Zip System helps me to work ahead and thereby save time
* I have several sets of zippers to save me time. * While my computerized longarm APQS quilting machine is stitching the quilt currently mounted on the frame, I am pinning the next quilt to be loaded. This makes good use of my time. When the current quilt is done, the next one is ready to be mounted. * I hate pinning at the machine. So, I lay the zippers and backing across my 6' wide cutting table and do my pinning there. This eliminates pin pricks in my fingers. * I also keep one set of zippers loaded with a practice piece when I want to test a design, but mostly when I want to demo my APQS, since I'm a sales rep and I never know when a prospective buyer might want to see my machine in action. * I love how I can zip one quilt off, zip another one on. No problem. * I recently ordered the zipper set for use in bobbin work -- lets you pin once and reverse the quilt. I'm really looking forward to trying that.
