Welcome to The Quilting Connection, LLC!

We are a 3rd generation Longarm exclusive retail store.  In 1999, Sue and her mom Earlene, purchased their first longarm quilting machine and opened The Quilting Connection, LLC in Elkhorn, WI.  Angie started working at the shop in 1999 also.  In 2004, Angie started longarm quilting for our customers In 2006 she began teaching the training classes we include with the purchase of a machine.  Angie and her husband Rick purchased The Quilting Connection from Sue and Al in September of 2021.  Angie and Rick are looking forward to many years of growing the business and helping more quilters finish more quilts!  Angie started a YouTube channel called Angie's Answers to help longarm quilters learn more and feel more confident with their machines.  Check out our videos by clicking here

We joined the Handi Quilter community in 2010. We re-joined the AQPS community in 2024. We originally started with APQS in 2001 through 2014 and we are thrilled to bring these amazing machines back to our stores!

We are an Authorized Longarm Retailer offering professional longarm machine sales, service, and training workshops.  We want to bring the best to the Midwest! Our focus has always been the education.  We are here to help you master your machine! 

In 2012 we opened our second location in downtown New London, WI.  In January of 2022 we sold the building in New London and moved to Appleton, WI.  Our new location is right next door to Going to Pieces Quilt Company on Northland Ave.  We are so excited to be next to this huge quilt shop and bring the Handi Quilter machines to Appleton!  We have the full line of Handi Quilter and APQS products and machines in our studios for you to come and try before you buy.  We also offer the longarm quilting supplies you will need including the Quick Zip System™, wholesale batting for businesses, a wide variety of tools, books and fun gadgets specifically for the longarm quilter.

Not ready to purchase a longarm or do you not have space for a longarm?  Come in and take our Beginning Longarm Rental Class and learn to use these machines.  Then come back and pay by the hour to rent time on our machines.  Our expert staff will help you every step of the way to complete your quilts.  You are never left alone!  This is a great way to gain confidence and build your quilting skills! 

Our goal is to provide superior customer service, knowledgeable staff, and professional training and service for your longarm machine.  We do not have a fabric shop so we can dedicate our time to helping our customers master their longarm machines.

Studio Hours:

Elkhorn is open by appointment. Most weeks we are available Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm.

Appleton is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10am - 4pm  Saturday 10am - 3pm. 

We will also have options for appointments outside of these hours.  

Due to our travel, quilt show, and machine setup schedules please call to verify we are open.

Customer satisfaction is our top priority! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns, we would be glad to help.

The Quilting Connection, LLC 30 day return or exchange policy:
Item must be returned within 30 days of receipt date in new, unused condition. DVD's, CD's and books must be returned unopened. Refunds or exchanges will be made for the amount of the item only. We are also not able to return items that are drop shipped to you (items that we do not stock) such as Wholesale Hobbs Batting.  Shipping costs will not be refunded unless the item is defective or under warranty. If an item is returned without pre-approval and the item has been opened, used or damaged, it is the customer's responsibility to pay the return shipping if they want the item back. Please contact us for a return code and an approval.  If an item is damaged or has a factory defect we will help work with you to resolve the issue.  Please let us know if you have any questions about our return policy.  

Shipping Policy:  

The shipping rates on this site are only accurate for domestic shipping within the continental U.S.  If you are outside of the continental U.S. we will calculate the shipping and email the total to you for approval before the products are shipped out.  Thank you so much.  International orders cannot be placed through our website.  You must email us to set up a time for us to call you or zoom with you to place your order.
